Former Bulldog Artis-Payne Takes Advantage of Increased Playing Time for Carolina Panthers

Former Allan Hancock College All-American Cameron Artis-Payne made the most of a larger role for the Carolina Panthers last Sunday. The rookie running back enjoyed a career day during the Panthers' 38-35 thrilling victory over the New York Giants. Carolina remained undefeated and improved to 14-0. Panthers' kicker Graham Gano converted a 43-yard field goal as time expired to account for Carolina's 18th straight regular season win.

Artis-Payne carried the ball 14 times for 59 yards, including a career-long 26-yard run. He also caught two passes for 34 yards. All told, the rookie accounted for 93 yards of total offense. The former Bulldog was moved up the depth chart due to an injury to starting running back Jonathan Stewart.

Artis-Payne has now played in five games for the Panthers. He has 26 carries for 90 yards this season.

Carolina will play at Atlanta on Sunday, Dec. 27, at 10 a.m. California time.
