Hancock Football Falls Short Against San Bernardino Valley

Allan Hancock College's football team fell to a 3-2 record after their 24-18 loss to San Bernardino Valley at home on Sept. 30. Sophomore wide receiver Nick Kimball scored both Hancock touchdowns and lead the offense with 82 yards. 

Jordan Pollard put the Bulldogs up early in the first quarter with a 24-yard field goal. After the Wolverines tied the game, quarterback Jimmy Kelleher found Kimball for a 43-yard touchdown pass. 

Hancock took a 16-3 lead in the second quarter with a Kimball making a 12-yard rushing touchdown. The Bulldogs finished the game with 172 rushing yards led by Ryheem Skinner, with 69 yards on 13 attempts. 

San Bernardino Valley scored 21 unanswered points before the Bulldogs forced a safety in the fourth quarter. Ben Willkomm caused a fumble after he sacked quarterback Armando Herrera at the San Bernardino Valley two-yard line. The Wolverines recovered the fumble in the end zone for a safety. 

Kelleher finished the game passing for 136 yards, completing 11 of 29 passes with one touchdown and three interceptions. 

The Bulldogs have a week off before they begin American Pacific conference play at La Playa Stadium, when they take on Santa Barbara City College on Saturday, Oct. 14. The game begins at 1 p.m.
