Football's Jordan Fields Headed to Midwestern State

WICHITA FALLS, Tex. - Allan Hancock College football linebacker, Jordan Fields, has committed to continuing his academic and athletic career at Midwestern State University next season.

"I chose Midwestern State because I have family in Texas, so it sounded like a great opportunity to be able to be close to them and have them come watch my games. I also chose them because their facilities are great and their campus is super nice," Fields shared. "I really enjoyed my visit to Wichita Falls. The people and coaches were all really friendly and welcoming as well."

Fields, a local Santa Maria product, recently completed his second season with the Bulldogs' defensive crew. The Ernest Righetti High School alum ranked second on the team with 64 tackles during his sophomore campaign and was tabbed as a Second Team-All League honoree. He also totaled three sacks and had 11.5 tackles that forced a loss of 54 yards. As a freshman, Fields ranked 8th amongst teammates with 25 tackles through nine games.

"My time at Allan Hancock has been a journey that I will never forget. I made many brothers and friendships here, which I am beyond grateful for," Fields added. "My time at AHC definitely prepared me for the next level because every day here is a challenge to be better than you were yesterday, whether that be on the field or in the classroom. I learned many important lessons during my time at Hancock that helped me get to the next level and will help me continue to find success moving forward."

Midwestern State is a Division II member of the NCAA and competes in the Lone Star Conference.
