Football's Jaleel Walker Heading to Western Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Allan Hancock College wide receiver, Jaleel Walker, has committed to continuing his academic and athletic career at Western Kentucky University next season.

"I chose WKU because I got family vibes from the coaches. It also helped that they were the highest level school to offer me a full ride," Walker shared.

Walker completed his second season on the field with the Bulldogs last fall. The Arizona native was a First Team All-League selection after leading the core receiving group for the Bulldogs last season with 899 yards through the air on 50 receptions en route to eight touchdowns. Walker closed his sophomore campaign by averaging 81.7 receiving yards per game, ranking him fifth amongst all SCFA wide receivers, while his final total number of receiving yards placed him at 3rd in the state.

"My time at AHC helped me prepare for the next level by teaching me to go 110 percent in practice, whether I'm a starter or not. I had a bad habit of not putting my all into practice before meeting Coach Dutra," Walker added. "How I mentally and physically prepare for games is different now and they helped give me a better overall understanding of the game."

The Hilltoppers are a Division I member of the NCAA and compete in the Conference USA league.
