Next Level: Keyshawn Pu'a Commits to Eastern New Mexico

PORTALES, NEW MEXICO - Allan Hancock College football linebacker, Keyshawn Pu'a, will be continuing his academic and athletic career at Eastern New Mexico University next season.

"I chose Eastern New Mexico because it was the first school to offer me a full scholarship where I could have my education covered for the next two years," Pu'a stated. Another reason why I chose ENMU is because one of the other boys, AJ Masunu, is also going there next season and I feel like already knowing someone will make the transition to a different school a lot easier for me."

Pu'a spent two seasons on the field for the Bulldogs, including this past fall where the program secured a share of the league title. He was a First Team All-Conference selection this fall after leading the team with 66 tackles. The product of Nipomo also registered one fumble recovery, one interception, and one block.

"Allan Hancock helped me prepare for success because it's like a big family here on campus. Given that my father was a coach here for years and I grew up around a lot of the staff here, it was very easier to talk to everyone and adjust to the college level," Pu'a shared.

The Greyhounds are a Division II member of the NCAA and compete in the Lone Star Conference.
