Seven Men's Basketball Players Sign with Four-Year Universities

    So far seven athletes from the 2011-12 men's basketball team have signed to play for four-year universities next season. Abraham Millsap (Oakdale, CT) will suit up for Tennessee State University next season. Millsap averaged 13 points per game and was ranked seventh in the Western State Conference in rebounding and third in steals. Taylor Pruett (Arroyo Grande, CA) and Jordan O'Byrne (Lompoc, CA) are both headed to College of Idaho. Returning player O'Byrne had the team's highest field goal percentage and averaged 18 points per game. Pruett averaged 11.5 rebounds per game and was ranked second in the WSC in rebounding. All three players were named WSC first team with O'Byrne earning  a unanimous selection. 

    After only one season playing competitive basketball, Justin Ramirez (San Luis Obispo, CA) has received a scholarship offer to play for Concordia University, Portland. Jacob Andersson (Sodertalje, Sweden) will play for California State University, San Marcos. Norris Spagner (Nashville, TN) has signed with Azusa Pacific University and Keith Bowman (Santa Maria, CA) will play for Menlo College in Atherton, Calif. 

    The Allan Hancock College men's basketball team finished the 2011-12 season 20-10  overall and 7-5 in the WSC, earning a spot in the state playoffs for the second season in a row. state playoffs for the second season in a row.
