Men's Basketball: Darryl Brooks II Signs with Warner Pacific

PORTLAND, Ore. - Allan Hancock College men's basketball guard, Darryl Brooks II, has signed on to continue his academic and athletic career at Warner Pacific (Ore.) University next season.

"I chose Warner Pacific because I like the coaching staff and it gives me a chance to play with former teammates and close friends," Brooks stated. "I also had a great time on my visit to the campus. Portland is a really cool city."

Brooks moves on to the next level after spending one season with the Bulldogs. The Milwaukee native averaged 7.0 points and 1.8 assists per game while boasting a 74.5 percent finish from the charity stripe. Brooks transferred to Hancock from Cuesta College, where he was a First Team All-Conference honoree and the WSC Defensive Player of the Year at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season.

"My time at AHC helped me learn some important life skills. Some of these skills included figuring out how to speak up for myself more often and being more responsible," Brooks added.

Warner Pacific, located in Portland, is a member of the NAIA and competes in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
