Men's Basketball: Vondre Chase Commits to Christian Brothers

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Allan Hancock College men's basketball guard, Vondre Chase, has committed to continue his academic and athletic career next season at Christian Brothers University this season.

"I chose CBU because the coaches kept an open line of communication with me throughout the recruiting process," Chase shared. "It seems like a great place with a genuine culture and I'm excited to get started."

Chase, a native of Massachusetts, spent two seasons on the court with the Bulldogs. The sophomore standout led the team with an 80.6 percent finish at the charity stripe. Chase, also a two-time All-Conference honoree and a First Team selection as a freshman, closed out his final season at the junior college level with an average of 11.2 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.

"My time at AHC taught me a lot. It showed me that everything isn't going to always go your way but if you continue to surround yourself with positive people who are willing to help you out, you can make it through just about anything," Chase added.

The Buccaneers are a Division II member of the NCAA and compete in the Gulf South Conference.
