Six Land on WSC (North) All-Conference List for Men's Basketball

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Six members of the Allan Hancock College men's basketball program have been recognized as postseason award winners in the North Division of the Western State Conference. 

Mylo Santos, Taevon Pierre-Louis, and Assad Madassalia headlined the list as First Team All-conference honorees. Noah Haaland, Jahki Parrinello, and Jeremyah Aquino rounded out the list as Honorable Mention selections. 

Santos, a sophomore transfer from Porterville College, led the Bulldogs with 17.6 points per game throughout the regular season while working towards a 52.4 shooting percentage from the field. His points per game average - after starting in 27 of his 28 appearances - ranks him fifth amongst all WSC North competitors. The New York native hit the 20+ point mark in 10 contests the season while hitting a career-high of 29 against LA Pierce College in January. He has tallied 492 points on the season thus far and leads the team with 59 steals (2.1 per game).

Pierre-Louis receives the First Team recognition for the second season in a row after competing in 28 contests. The product of Ohio has averaged 11.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists while scoring 15+ points in nine contests. His rebounding average ranks him fifth in the league while his final regular season total of 217 boards is tops for the team. 

Madassalia, also a sophomore transfer from Porterville College, picks up his second postseason award after previously being named to the Central Valley Conference All-Freshman Team last year. The Brooklyn native currently averages 7.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game through 27 competitions. His mark of 3.1 blocks per game places him at the top of the WSC North rankings and third amongst all 3C2A competitors. 

Haaland has averaged 7.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game through 27 contests. He ranks sixth on the team with 90 total rebounds and fifth with 44 offensive boards. 

Parrinello, a freshman from New York, owns an average of 8.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game through 28 appearances. His free throw percentage (75.3) ranks second amongst teammates who have 50+ attempts at the charity stripe. 

Aquino, a freshman from San Francisco, boasts 5.7 points and 1.8 assists per game after 28 contests. His current total of 31 made three-pointers ties with Santos at the top of the team rankings. He also leads the Bulldogs with a 40.8 shooting percentage from distance with 76 attempts thus far. 

The No. 10-seeded Bulldogs are set to host No. 23 Antelope Valley College in round one of the 2024 Southern California Regional Tournament on Wednesday, February 28th, at 5:30 PM at the Joe White Memorial Gymnasium. 

Tickets are currently available for purchase on the ahcbulldogs.com/ticketing website or can be purchased at the ticketing gate with a debit or credit card. Per the 3C2A guidelines, ticket prices are as follows: Adults - $12, Students - $8, Senior Citizens - $8, and Children (6+) - $8. Children under the age of six receive free admission. Please note that the ticketing gate is cashless and that season and/or conference passes are not valid for postseason events. Animals, other than service animals, are not permitted at the venue.

The winner of Wednesday's contest will advance to round two and will face No. 7-seeded Santiago Canyon on Saturday, March 2nd.
