Mylo Santos sent the game into overtime with a last-second layup after the two programs battled through a back-and-forth showing in the second half.

SDCC created a bit of separation with a quick four-point swing, but Taevon Pierre-Louis got the visitors within one after a made layup with 57 seconds remaining. The Bulldogs nearly regained the lead down the stretch but fell short with three consecutive empty possessions after a pair of missed layups and a turnover. The Knights put the game away with a pair of made free throws before the final buzzer.

As a team, the Bulldogs shot 44.4 percent from the field but struggled to find efficient production beyond the arc with a mere 14.3 percent finish from the three-point line. They also won the rebounding battle, 46-28, and registered 44 points in the paint but committed 24 turnovers compared to SDCC's 11.
