Men's Golf: Jack Wellenkamp Leads Individual Field at WSC #9

VENTURA, Calif. - Allan Hancock College men's golf sophomore, Jack Wellenkamp, finished atop the field of individuals at the ninth Western State Conference meet of the season. The event took place at the Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura on Monday afternoon. 

The Bulldogs finished in seventh place after shooting 415 on the day. Ventura finished in first place with a final tally of 390, followed by College of the Canyons (392) and Santa Barbara City College (394). Wellenkamp finished one stroke ahead of the pack with a final score of 73. Landon Potter finished in a seven-way tie for 14th after shooting 79 while Troy Fulton rounded out the top performers for AHC after carding 83 strokes en route to a two-way tie for 32nd.

Hancock is scheduled to tee off next Monday, April 17 at 11:30 a.m. at Sandpiper Golf Club, in the WSC event hosted by Santa Barbara.
