Men's Golf Completes Season at WSC Championship, Riley Advances to SoCal Regional Event

GRANADA HILLS, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's golf team wrapped up the regular season at the Western State Conference (WSC) Championship on Monday at Knollwood Country Club in a 36-hole tournament. The Bulldogs finished in 8th place with a final tally of 880 after carding 450 in round one and 430 in round two. Canyons won the event for the 13th consecutive season with a final total of 724, followed by Santa Barbara (759) and Bakersfield (760).

Johnathan Riley led the way for Hancock with an 18th place finish in the individual field after shooting 77 in both rounds. He closed out the regular season ranked 10th overall amongst WSC competitors and was recognized as a First Team All-Conference honoree. 

Riley will represent the team on the next stage as an individual qualifier in the 3C2A Southern California Championships being held at Rio Bravo Country Club beginning Sunday, May 5. The 36-hole tournament continues on Monday, May 6.
