Men's Soccer Ends Road Test in Tie at Citrus

GLENDORA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team ended a road test at Citrus College in a 2-2 tie on Friday afternoon. | BOX SCORE

The Owls (2-2-3) jumped ahead early after a pair of quick goals in the 3rd and 10th minutes of action. Jose Espinoza used a pass from Diego Cardenas to bring the game within reach in the 72nd minute before registering his own assist just 10 ticks later after leading Jose Herrera to the game-leveling goal. 

The Bulldogs (1-6-1) outshot Citrus at a 15-8 margin while placing eight attempts on frame. Espinoza and Kevin Gutierrez led the offensive effort with five combined shots on goal and three total tries apiece. Jose Baro and Jesus Hinojosa also chimed in after they each notched one shot on target. Luis Garcia earned the start in the box for the Hancock squad, where he grabbed two saves and allowed as many goals through 90 minutes. 

Coach Vinnedge's crew is set to return to action on September 27th in a home showing against College of the Canyons. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:30 PM on the AHC Soccer Field.
