Bulldogs Pass Road Test with 4-2 Victory at LA Mission

SYLMAR, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team picked up a Western State Conference win after topping LA Mission College, 4-2, on the road on Tuesday evening. | BOX SCORE

Kevin Gutierrez put the Bulldogs (3-9-2, 2-2 WSC) ahead early with two quick goals in the 8th and 19th minutes of play. His first tally came after an assist from Jose Herrera while Jose Perez helped on the second. The Eagles (0-11-5, 0-3-2 WSC) managed to even the playing field with tallies in the 21st and 25th minute, leaving the two teams tied at the intermission. Jose Espinoza scored the go-ahead goal in the 59th minute after connecting with a pass from Diego Cardenas. Braden Johnson added to the cushion in extra time after sending a pass from Mark Hutchinson past the LAMC keeper. 

The Bulldogs outshot the host at a hefty 17-9 margin and placed 10 tries on target. Espinoza, Herrera, Cardenas, and Jesus Hinojosa ended the night with two attempts on-frame each. Luis Garcia earned the win in the box after collecting seven saves through 90 minutes of play.

Hancock is set to return to action on Friday, October 28th, with a road trip to Moorpark College.
