Jose Espinoza Registers Hat Trick as Bulldogs Tie with Moorpark

MOORPARK, Calif. - Jose Espinoza's hat trick led the way for the Allan Hancock College men's soccer program in a physical conference battle on the road at Moorpark College in a 4-4 draw on Friday afternoon. | BOX SCORE

Jose Perez put the Bulldogs (3-9-3, 2-2-1 WSC) on the board early after sending a pass from Jesus Hinojosa through to the back of the net in the eighth minute. The Raiders (0-12-4, 0-4-2 WSC) tied the score less than a minute later before briefly taking the lead with another tally in the 30th. Espinoza evened the odds with a helper from Jose Baro in the 38th minute, leading the two programs to a 2-2 tie at the intermission. 

Moorpark surged ahead after play resumed with a pair of quick in the 47th and 53rd minutes of play. Espinoza cut the deficit with a solo goal in the 58th minute before using a pass from Baro to knot the score in the 74th. 

Hancock outshot the hosting Raiders at a 13-8 margin while placing five attempts on frame. Luis Garcia collected one save after 90 minutes of work in the box for the Bulldogs.
