Men's Soccer Places Five on All-Conference List

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Despite struggling through the league slate, the Allan Hancock College men's soccer program saw five athletes land on the Western State Conference (North) list of award winners.

Diego Cardenas headlined the list of AHC honorees as the lone member to pick up the First Team All-Conference designation. The Lompoc native had one goal on the season while serving as a leader at midfield for the program.

Luis Garcia and Braden Johnson were tabbed as Second Team All-Conference selections. Garcia, an Honorable Mention selection last season, totaled 83 saves through 18 games on the season. Johnson closed his sophomore campaign with seven points after notching three assists and two goals as a midfielder and forward.

Landon Smith and Erick Jimenez landed on the All-Conference Honorable Mention list. Smith, who also finished with two goals and three assists, is now a two-time Honorable Mention selection after collecting the same award during his freshman season in 2021. Jiminez finished his freshman campaign with 13 points after notching five goals and three assists through 21 appearances.

The Bulldogs closed the season with an overall record of 4-15-2 and a 1-8-1 mark against league opponents.
