Bio
Smith had a successful freshman season with the Bulldogs. He was the 2009 Western State Conference champion in the 400-meter hurdles and qualified for the Southern California Prelims. He finished the season ranked 19th in Southern California in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal best time of 55.95 in the 400-meter hurdles and 15.84 in the 110-meter race. Smith was a CIF finalist and two-time Santa Barbara County champion at St. Joseph High School.
