Track Team Returns From WSC Meet With Top 5 Finishes
    The Allan Hancock College men's and women's track teams had a goo showing at the Western State Conference meet in Ventura with two women and three men finishing in the top five in their events. 

    Britanie Smith (Pioneer Valley), the current school record holder in the triple jump, earned a first place finish in that event with a 11.03 meter jump. Stephanie Watrons finished fourth in the hammer throw with her 25 meter throw and Melani Rose Teixeira (Nipomo) had a strong showing with her 21.68 meter throw for sixth place. 

    Spencer Dudley (St. Charles)had the highest placing on the men's team, a second place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.39. Dudley is also a wide receiver for the Hancock football team. Ashor, Adam (St. Joseph) and another Hancock football player, Christopher Lyle (Legacy), tied for fourth in the high jump. Both men jumped 1.75 meters.
