Bio
Montiel set personal records last year in middle and long distances. His top time in the 800 meters event is 2:15.73, in the 1,500 m it is 4:35.34, while his personal bests in the 3,000 m are 10:18.92 and 17:50.27 in the 5,000 m. He ran cross country and track, as well as played soccer at Pioneer Valley High School. He plans to graduate from a four-year university and become a civil engineer.
