Track & Field Returns to Action with Two-Day Event at Bakersfield College

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - After a series of postponements and cancellations due to inclement weather last month, the Allan Hancock College track & field programs finally resumed action by competing in a two-day event at Bakersfield College over the weekend. | COMPLETE RESULTS

Nasim Moody and Caleb Gretlein led the Bulldogs individually after a pair of top-five finishes in their respective events. Moody secured a fourth place slot in the long jump with a leap of 6.52 meters, while Gretlein finished fourth in the hammer throw with a heave of 33.70 meters. Hancock's 4x400m Relay team - comprised of Emilio Benitez, Kollins Pettaway, Samuel Troup, Fernando Jimenez - placed ninth after clocking a time of 3:41.09. 

Reann Booker was tops for the shorthanded women's program after a runner-up performance in the 100-meter dash with a final time of 12.31 seconds and a third place finish in the 200-meter race (25.58). 

The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to action on Friday, March 24th, at the WSC Coastal event in San Luis Obispo. The event will be hosted on the Cuesta College campus.
