Moody Finishes Fifth in Men's Long Jump at CCCAA State Championship

MODESTO, Calif. - Nasim Moody closed out a successful season as the lone representative of the Allan Hancock College track & field program at the 2023 CCCAA State Championship.

Moody, a Philadelphia native, qualified for the final stage in the men's long jump after a 5th place performance at the SoCal Regional Finals earlier this month. At the state meet, he used a season-best leap of 7.05 meters to secure his 5th finish.

Moody has totaled eight top-ten finishes in the long jump this season, including one 1st place performance at the Western State Conference Relays. He opened the season with a 6.53-meter mark in the first event of the year while consistently improving his jump to the eventual personal best that was set on Saturday.
