Softball: Bulldogs Pick Up WSC North Win at Ventura

VENTURA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College softball team secured a 6-4 victory on the road against Ventura College in another Western State Conference (North) showdown on Tuesday afternoon. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs (19-16, 9-4) opened the game with one run in the first frame after a sacrifice fly from Danica Black plated a runner, but Ventura (6-26, 4-9) evened things out with one run of their own in the third. Hancock caught fire in the fifth when Black sparked a four-run rally. Delayna Quezada followed with an RBI single before Hailey Pasillas drove two runners home. Quezada plated one more runner in the sixth before scoring ended for both sides with a three-run showing by the Pirates in the bottom of the seventh.
Quezada picked up her 12th win of the season in the circle after twirling a complete game. She was charged with four earned runs after scattering eight hits through seven frame.
The Bulldogs are set to host Santa Barbara City College on Tuesday, April 23rd, for the regular season finale. The Sophomore Day celebration will take place on the AHC Softball Field at 2:30 PM.
