Women's Basketball Falls to Chabot College on the Second Day of De Anza Tournament

The Allan Hancock College women's basketball team fell to the Chabot College Gladiators 67-57 this Friday, November 8th, on the second day of the De Anza Tournament. Jayci Bayne played well in the loss by leading the Bulldogs in multiple stat categories. The loss drops the Bulldogs to 1-1 and the Gladiators improve to 2-0. 

The Bulldogs finished with a higher shooting percentage after making 20 of their 45 shots for 44% shooting from the floor. The Gladiators shot 36% from the floor. The Bulldogs ended with higher percentages in all three shooting categories, but the key statistics in the loss was the Bulldog's 18 turnovers as well as the 27-36 rebound disadvantage.  

Bayne went 6-for-11 from the floor and made nine of her 11 shots from the charity stripe to lead the team in scoring with 21 points. Bayne also tied for the team lead in rebounds with seven as well as picked up two assists and two steals. 

Alijah Paquet finished with 16 points on 6-for-17 shooting and hit four of those coming from behind the three point arc. Paquet pulled in seven rebounds and picked up three assists and a steal.

Milan McGary ended the game with 10 points, picked up three rebounds, and one steal.

Maddie Miller finished the game with 10 points and six rebounds.
