Bulldogs Blow Past LA Southwest

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's basketball program rolled over LA Southwest on day one of the AHC Crossover with an 86-14 victory inside of the Joe White Memorial Gymnasium. | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs (7-3) held a hefty 19 point advantage after the first quarter and stretched the lead to 48-6 at the intermission. Coach Nerelli's hot-shooting squad cruised to a 15-3 showing in the third frame and closed the contest with a 23-5 fourth quarter. As a team, Hancock finished with a 44.2 percent mark from the field while limiting the Cougars (0-4) to just 15 percent. The home team also finished with a 52-22 advantage on the boards and forced 32 LASW turnovers on the night.

Krista Andersen led the way for the Hancock with a career-high of 25 points after registering a 10-for-17 finish from the floor and sinking five three-pointers. Alijah Paquet followed with 13 points while Alexandria Paquet chipped in 12 points and nine assists. Carlissa Solorio notched a double-double after notching 15 rebounds and 11 points. Jessika Earley and Jewelia Maniss rounded out the double figure finishers with 10 points apiece. Maniss also grabbed 14 rebounds in the contest en route to her fifth double-double of the season.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Saturday, December 10th, for day two of the AHC Crossover with a 3 PM tip-off against Taft College. Tickets for the event can be purchased by clicking here.
