MOORPARK, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's basketball program fell in heartbreaking fashion after a double overtime loss on the road at Moorpark College on Saturday evening. | BOX SCORE
The short-handed Bulldogs (10-9, 2-2 WSC) squad overcame a stagnant third quarter to force the extra minutes, but was unable to complete the comeback after foul trouble in the second overtime period. As a team, AHC shot just above 38 percent from the field and held a 46-39 rebounding advantage over the Raiders (17-2, 6-0 WSC).
Jewelia Maniss posted a career-high of 25 points on the day after going 11-for-22 from the field. She also tacked on eight rebounds, two assists, and committed just one turnover through 37 minutes of action. Kayla Taylor followed with 15 points and 12 rebounds, marking her sixth double-double performance of the season. Alexandria Paquet and Jayci Bayne rounded out the list of double figure finishers with 14 points and 12 points, respectively, while Carlissa Solorio finished grabbed nine rebounds.
The Bulldogs are set to continue league action with a trip to Oxnard College on Monday, January 31st.
