MOORPARK, Calif. - The No. 18-seeded Allan Hancock College women's basketball team saw the season come to a close after suffering a 75-52 loss on the road against No. 2 Moorpark College in the second round of the Southern California Regional Tournament on Saturday evening. | BOX SCORE
Moorpark (26-3) led the way from start to finish after jumping out to an early 8-0 run after tip-off while holding the Bulldogs (19-11) scoreless through the first four minutes of action. Hancock turned in a 35.2 percent finish from the field but was unable to hold off the hot-handed Raiders who went 14-for-25 (56.0%) from distance. The two teams were nearly even in rebounding, turnovers, and second-chance points.
India Dowling-Green led the visitors with 16 points after a 6-for-12 finish from the field, followed by 15 tallies from Giselle Calderon. Khaelii Robertson-Mack rounded out the top scorers and finished just shy of her double-double after with 14 points and eight rebounds.
The Bulldogs closed the season with a final record of 19-11 after earning their fourth consecutive appearance in the second round of the Southern California Regional Tournament.
