Women's Golf in Third After Opening Round of WSC Championship

VENTURA, Calif. - Four members of the Allan Hancock College women's golf team landed in the Top 20 standings after round one of the Western State Conference Championship, hosted at the Buena Ventura Golf Course.

The Bulldogs closed the day in third place after posting a final score of 348. College of the Canyons led the field of seven with a tally of 313, followed by 334 strokes from Bakersfield College. Sidney Pruett was tops for Hancock and finished in 8th overall after shooting 82. Danica Black (10th/84), Trinity Sahagun (15th/90), and Khloe Branch (18th/92) also landed on the list of top-performing individuals.

The second and final round of the WSC Championship is set to take place on Monday, October 31st, at the Buena Ventura Golf Course. Qualifying teams and individuals will then advance to the SoCal Championship, which is slated to begin on November 6th.
