Women's Golf Takes Fifth at WSC #6

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's golf team hosted the sixth Western State Conference match of the season at the Santa Maria Country Club on Monday afternoon.

The Bulldogs finished fifth through the field of seven after carding 407 strokes on the day. Canyons finished at the top of the final team standings with 356, followed by Bakersfield (362) and Moorpark (363).

Individually, Kariss Witford led the way for the program with an 8th place finish after shooting 89. Danica Black also landed in the top-20 after posting a final tally of 95, which placed her in 14th. Khloe Branch (106) and Katrina Mata (117) rounded out the pack for Hancock by placing 26th and 28th, respectively. 

The Bulldogs will return to action at the two-day WSC Championships being held Oct. 29-30 at Rio Bravo Country Club in Bakersfield.
