Women's Soccer Cruises to Victory over Oxnard to Close 2021 Campaign

OXNARD, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's soccer program cruised to a 6-2 victory over Oxnard College to close the 2021 campaign on Friday evening. | BOX SCORE

Hayde Gallardo got the Bulldogs on the board first and notched the lone goal of the first half with an unassisted tally in the 13th minute. Jaelynn Guzman doubled the lead after converting a pass from Emely Graciliano Sanchez in the 49th minute, but the Condors cut the deficit to one with a goal in the 64th minute. The Hancock offense surged with three straight goals from Arianna Bell (75th minute), Hope Smith (82nd minute), and Alivia Valdez (85th minute). Both teams scored once more in regulation with a Condor goal in the 86th and a second shot past the keeper for Valdez in the 88th minute.

Brianna Gaona led the offensive effort with a team-high of five shot attempts and a career-high of three assists on the night. Gallardo and Valdez followed with four tries each while Guzman notched a pair. Ally Britt collected the win in the box after snagging 11 saves through 90 minutes of action.

The Bulldogs close the season with an overall record of 5-10-4 and finish the fall with a 3-6-3 mark in league action.
