Five Bulldogs Earn All-Conference Honors

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Five members of the Allan Hancock College women's soccer team have received all-conference honors for the north division in the Western State Conference after the 2021 campaign.

Sophomore midfielder, Brianna Gaona, led the way as the lone First Team All-Conference selection for the squad. She notched two game-winning goals and four assists on the season, tallying eight total points this fall. Gaona was also tabbed as a Second Team All-Conference selection during her freshman season in 2019.

Freshman duo Hayde Gallardo and Ally Britt collected Second Team All-Conference honors. Gallardo, also a midfield anchor for Allan Hancock, tallied two goals and two assists throughout the season. Britt served as the primary keeper for the Bulldogs, collecting 111 saves and two shutouts through 18 games played.

Hope Smith and Alivia Valdez rounded out the list of award winners after landing on the Honorable Mention All-Conference list. Smith, a freshman forward, registered four goals and two assists on the season en route to a total of 10 points. Valdez, who also received the same recognition in 2019, served primarily as a defensive anchor for the Bulldogs while also recording two goals and one assist.

The Bulldogs finished the season with an overall record of 5-10-4 while posting a 3-6-3 mark against league foes.
