Cross Country Competes at Canyons Invite

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's and women's cross country programs continued competition with a trip to the Canyons Invite on Friday afternoon.

On the women's side, Sierra Skinner led the pack with an 11th place finish in the 5k after recording a 7:44 time. Yasmin Mendez (8:48) and Nicki Lucero (8:53) also earned Top 20 finishes after placing 8th and 19th, respectively. Luis Diaz led the men's squad with an 8th place finish in an extended four-mile race after clocking a time of 5:51. Orlando Marin was the next Bulldog to cross the finish line in 22nd place (6:22), followed by a 29th place finish from Efrain Santos (6:44). Neither team qualified for a team score. 

Both programs are set to continue competition on Friday, September 10th, at the Oxnard Invitational.
