Ioppini Finishes Second, Hancock Men Sixth at WSC Tournament

Triston Ioppini carded a 1-over par to help the Allan Hancock College men's golf team to a sixth place finish at the second Western State Conference Tournament of the season on Monday. Santa Barbara City College hosted the tournament at Alisal Ranch in Solvang.

Ioppini, an Atascadero High School graduate, fired a 73 on the 6,542 yard course. The freshman finished in a tie for second place in the individual category. Edouard Fiszel from College of the Canyons won with a 1-under par 71.

Righetti High School graduate Landon Brown shot an 8-over 80 for Hancock. St. Joseph High School product Shawn Brackett shot an 83 and Alejandro Nicolini finished with an 87. Freshmen Corey Lockaton and Justin Roxbrough each fired 16-over 82's.

Hancock finished with a total score of 411. College of the Canyons won with a combined score of 375.
