A second-half goal from Francisco Ayala helped the Allan Hancock College men's soccer team earn a point in the conference standings with a 1-1 tie at second-place Santa Monica on Tuesday afternoon. The Bulldogs moved to 2-4-1 in Western State Conference play and 10-6-3 overall. The Corsairs improved to 4-0-3 in league and 12-1-5 overall.

Santa Monica scored the first goal of the game in the 32nd minute to carry a 1-0 advantage into halftime. The Bulldogs managed four shots in the first half, but their offense came to life in the second half and took 13 shots.
Ayala tied it at 1-1 in the 55th minute with his fourth goal of the season and third of his last five games.

Combined with his 12 goals, the Cabrillo High School graduate also ranks third in the state with 41 total points. Freshman goalie Antony Herrera recorded four saves in net for the Bulldogs.
