Bondy, Bramble and Nelson Combine for Seven Top Six Finishes at Chabot Invitational

Leanna Bramble finished third in three individual events, Bailey Nelson completed two top four finishes, and Natalie Bondy finished sixth in two events during the Chabot Invitational on Saturday. Teams from across Northern California, including Santa Rosa, Marin, De Anza, San Francisco and beyond, competed in the non-scoring meet.

Nelson finished third in the 1,650 yard freestyle with a time of 21:16.59, while teammate Caija McNeil finished fifth at 22:04.65. Nelson, a sophomore and Righetti High School graduate, also posted the fourth-fastest time in the 100 yard freestyle at 1:01.74.

Bramble, a three-time Western State Conference champion, placed third in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:34.41), 100 yard breaststroke (1:11.98), and 200 yard freestyle (2:07.13).

Bondy placed sixth in the 200 yard backstroke (2:38.72) and in the 100 yard butterfly (1:10.60).

The Hancock women return to action on Thursday, April 16, at the Western State Conference Championships. The three-day meet takes place at Ventura College.
