2017 Hancock Football Headlines

The number of players from Hancock's 2017 Pacific League Champion team to sign with four-year universities climbed to 16.

Five football players, two women's basketball players, one men's soccer player and one track runner made their commitments to four-year universities official during a signing ceremony on Wednesday.

Malik Williams was an all-state and all-conference running back and kick returner for Hancock in 2015 before transferring to Louisville.

The sophomore linebacker becomes the third member of Hancock's 2017 conference champion team to sign with a four-year university.

Sophomores Basiru Jobe, Lesone Smith and Dominic Chance were named to the Region IV All-California Team.

Artis-Payne rushed for 68 yards on seven carries in Carolina's 45-21 win over Miami.

Hancock and Southwestern will meet at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18 at Santa Maria High School.

Hancock will host Citrus on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 1 p.m. to close the regular season. The Bulldogs have already clinched at least a share of their first conference title since 2000 and can secure the title outright on Saturday.

Military members, veterans and their families can pick up free tickets at the Vandenberg Air Force Base Public Affairs office, the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce and the college’s Veteran Success Center. Tickets are good for free admission to the game and lunch.
