Football: Bulldogs Picked to Host 2023 Strawberry Bowl

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - After clinching a share of the National Northern League crown for the second consecutive season, the Allan Hancock College football team has been selected to host one of the six Southern California Football Association (SCFA) bowl games set to take place across the state next week. 

The Bulldogs will be hosting the 2023 Strawberry Bowl on Tuesday, November 21st, at Ernest Righetti High School. They will showdown against San Diego Mesa College, a team that finished third in the National Southern League while boasting an overall record of 6-4 on the season. This will be the 1st meeting on record between the two programs.

Tuesday's game will mark the 21st bowl game on record and the second postseason appearance since 2019 for the Bulldogs. Last season, the Bulldogs topped Moorpark College during the inaugural Strawberry Bowl in an overtime thriller.

The game is set to kick off at 5 PM and gates will open one hour prior to the start of the event. Tickets are currently available for purchase on the ahcbulldogs.com/ticketing website or can be purchased at the ticketing gate with a debit or credit card. Per the CCCAA and SCFA guidelines, ticket prices are as follows: Adults - $12, Students - $8, Senior Citizens - $8, and Children (6+) - $8. Children under the age of six receive free admission. Please note that the ticketing gate is cashless and that season and/or conference passes are not valid for postseason events. Animals, other than service animals, are not permitted at the venue.
