
Bulldogs Fall to Hot-Handed Cougars, 69-59
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's basketball team fell on the road against Cuesta College on Wednesday evening at Stork Gym, 69-59. | BOX SCORE
The hosting Cougars (19-7, 5-2 WSC) jumped out to an early lead and held an eight-point advantage at the halftime break. Coach Aye's squad chipped away at the deficit throughout the second half and briefly held a one-point lead, but Cuesta quickly regained the momentum in the final moments to secure the victory.
The Bulldogs (15-9, 5-3 WSC) struggled from distance, converting just 2-of-18 (11.1%) three-point attempts, while the hosting squad boasted a red-hot finish of 50 percent (9-for-18) from beyond the arc.
Hancock was paced by Arlind Konjuhi, who finished with a game-high of 20 points after making six shots from the field and going 7-for-9 at the free throw line. Mykel Valrie chipped in 10 points, while Ay-Keen Richardson added nine. Adam Silmon, Owen Ubaldo, and Konjuhi led the way inside with five rebounds apiece.
The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Saturday, February 8th, at home against LA Pierce College.
