Aldridge Ties for Sixth During Ninth WSC Tournament
Freshman Eddie Aldridge carded a four-over par to lead a pair of Allan Hancock College golfers during the ninth Western State Conference tournament of the season at Oakmony Country Club in Glendale.
Aldridge fired a 76, which was tied for sixth overall in the individual standings. Sophomore Jett Rugg shot an 81.
Santa Barbara City College's JB Jandro and College of the Canyons' Anguerrand Voisin shared the medalist honors with two-over 74s.
Santa Barbara won its second straight WSC tournament. The Vaqueros finished with 381 strokes to edge College of the Canyons by six shots. Glendale finished third with 391 and Ventura in fourth with 405 strokes. SBCC inched closer in the overall team standings to one game back of Canyons. Ventura is in third place for the season.
Next week is the Western State Conference Finals, which includes 36 holes at Soule Park in Ojai.
