Bio
Rugg finished 14th overall in the individual standings of the Western State Conference his freshman season, with an average score of 78. He carded a season-low 72 during a conference match at the Santa Maria Country Club. Rugg played football and golf at Nipomo High School. He earned all-league honors his senior season to help the Titans win the league title. Winning the CIF football championship, the first in school history, is his favorite sports memory. He is a recreation management major. Holing out for an eagle during the league final is his favorite sports memory. His mother was a cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers, and his father played in the Arena Football League.
