MENS SOCCER FALLS 2-0 TO SANTA BARBARA
In a hard fought defensive battle, the Allan Hancock Men's Soccer team fell 2-0 to cross county rival Santa Barbara City College today at the AHC campus field.
Hancock (1-5-1, 0-1-1 WSC) and SBCC played solid defense, as each team could only muster six shots on goal in the match. After a scoreless first half, SBCC was finally able to get on the scoreboard in the 70th minute after AHC mid-fielder Arnulfo Gomez (Salinas, CA) was red carded in the 63rd minute. The Bulldogs were forced to play a man short for the remainder of the match. With just two minutes left in the game the Vaqueros scored again to end any chance of a Bulldog comeback.
AHC has another home game before they hit the road. They will host L.A. Mission on Tuesday, September 21 at 4:00 p.m. immediately following a women's game at 2:00 p.m. against L.A. Valley. The men's team will then travel to Moorpark on Friday, September 24 for a 4:00 p.m. match against the host Raiders.
