MEN'S SOCCER DROPS 2-1 DECISION AT OXNARD

SANTA MARIA-- The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team saw a short-lived two-match win streak snapped Tuesday at Oxnard, 2-1.

Hancock (7-8-5, 5-5-0 WSC) needed the win to stay in touch with conference-leading L.A. Mission, which the Bulldogs defeated this past Friday, 1-0. Heading into Tuesday's action, Mission held a narrow 16-15 point advantage over AHC, with Oxnard third at 13.

The Bulldogs scored first on a long-range shot by forward Matt McDonald in the 28th minute. Oxnard evened the score before the half, then tallied the game winner in the final period.

With just four matches remaining in the season, the Bulldogs will visit county-rival Santa Barbara CC on Friday for a 2 p.m. start in another crucial Western State Conference match.
