WALNUT-- The visiting Allan Hancock College men's soccer team fell to Mt. San Antonio College, 3-0, in a non-conference game Tuesday.
Hancock (2-3-4) continued its rugged non-conference schedule in prepraration for its Sept. 27 Western State Conference opener at Citrus. Sporting a 6-1-1 record, Mt. SAC is ranked second in the state. The Mounties won the eight-team AHC Classic earlier this month.
After trailing 1-0 at the half, AHC saw Mt. SAC score on a perfectly executed free kick in the 47th minute, then tag on a meaningless score in the closing moments.
The Bulldogs will host a second meeting with Hartnell College of Salinas on Friday at 4:30 p.m. at the campus field. The two teams met in the championship final of the prestigious Hartnell Tournament back on Sept. 4, with AHC winning on penalty kicks after finishing the contest in a 2-2 tie.
