MEN'S SOCCER LOSES GOALKEEPER IN ROAD DEFEAT
MOORPARK-- In a match that saw another goalie lost to injury, the Allan Hancock College men's soccer team dropped a conference road game, 2-0 to Moorpark.
Hancock (5-6-5, 3-3-0 WSC North) lost goalkeeper Omar Pimentel (Fr., Lompoc HS) with 10 minutes left in the match to a possible concussion. He joins the number one goaltender Jose Perez (Fr., Santa Ynez HS) on the sidelines. Oerez has been out with a leg injury and will not return for two more weeks. Sophomore Juan Velasco (Santa Maria HS) took over in the nets and was not scored upon for the remainder of the match.
The biggest problem for the Bulldogs appears to be their inability to put the ball in the net. AHC has been able to score only four goals in their five conference matches.
Hancock will try to rebound on the road Friday, Oct. 21, when they travel to Van Nuys to take on L.A. Mission in a make-up from a game postponed Sept. 30 due to fire conditions in the Los Angeles area at the time.
