MenŐs Soccer Gets a Re-Match Against Santa Barbara in Playoffs

            The Hancock men’s soccer team is headed to the first round of the playoffs against Santa Barbara City College Saturday Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at Santa Barbara. This will be the third time that the Bulldogs have played the Gauchos this season. The Bulldogs lost to Santa Barbara 1-4 on Oct. 19 and held the team to a 1-1 tie in the last conference game of the season on Saturday, Nov. 13.
            Santa Barbara is 15-2-3 overall and 10-1-3 in conference play going into the playoffs and is currently ranked second in the conference and eighth in the state. The Bulldogs are 12-7-2 overall and 8-5-1 in conference. Hancock is ranked fourth in the tough Western State Conference and 19th in the state. Bulldog forward Rosario Bras (Santa Maria, CA) is still the leading scorer in California going into Saturday’s game with 28 goals and five assists.
