Men's Soccer Ready for AHC Tournament
The Hancock men's soccer team is looking for another successful season in 2011. Last year the team took a trip to the playoffs and had several players ranked in the top ten in the state in scoring.
So far this season the team is 1-2 after a 0-4 loss to 3-0 Cerritos College and a 1-2 loss to a tough team from Irvine Valley College at the Hartnell Tournament Sept. 3-4. The Bulldogs got their first win in the consolation round against Cabrillo College. Juan Cortes, Kalan Dapson and William Flores scored a goal apiece for a final score of 3-0 with assists from Taylor Frias, Felipe Sahagun and Juan Hurtado.
The Bulldogs open at home against Taft at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9 in the Allan Hancock College Tournament.
