Men's Soccer Ends Season in Tie Against Moorpark College

The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team played its final game of the season this Friday, November 15, on the road at Moorpark College.

Much of the game was decided by defense. Moorpark outshot Hancock 12-7 for the game but the Bulldogs shot more accurately 5-4 on goal.

The game wasn't decided until the final three minutes. In the 87th minute Hancock's Nikolai Glass scored the first goal off an assist from Salvadore Andrade. Three minutes later Moorpark would tied the game for the 1-1 finish. 

Glass finishes third on the team in points with 10 coming off of four goals and two assists. 

Bryan Gomez finishes first on the team in points with 16. He scored a team leading seven goals as well as picking up two assists.

Jaun Montelongo finished with 11 points. He scored three goals and earned a team-leading five assists.

11 Bulldogs scored at least one goal this season.

Hancock goalkeeper Maisen Baro finished up his sophomore season with three saves. Baro finished the season with a 2.33 goals against average, two shutouts, and ranked 8th in the state in saves. 

The Bulldogs finished their season at 7-9-6 and went 3-2-5 in conference play. Hancock started conference off on a strong note at 3-1-1, but finished the second half 0-1-4. It is the Bulldog's best conference finish since the 2011 season where they went 7-5-4.
