Bulldogs Fall in Season Opener at West Hills Lemoore

LEMOORE, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team dropped the season opener on the road against West Hills College Lemoore on Friday afternoon. | BOX SCORE

Despite dominating the possession time for most of the match and having several late scoring opportunities, the Bulldogs fell in a 1-0 decision after West Hills snuck a shot past the keeper in the 20th minute. Sean Soltan led the offensive effort with two shots on frame, followed by Jose Herrera and Mark Hutchinson who each placed one attempt on target.

Martin Villagomez earned the start in the box for the Bulldogs and collected two saves, but did not factor into the final decision after an early exit from the contest. Luis Garcia finished out the contest as the keeper for the remaining 80 minutes of play and was charged with the loss after securing two saves and allowing one goal. 

The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Tuesday, August 30th, with a road trip to College of the Sequoias.
