Men's Soccer Falters in Home Showing with Hartnell

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team suffered a 6-0 shutout defeat at home against Hartnell College on Tuesday afternoon. | BOX SCORE

The Panthers (4-1-1) registered two early goals in the first six minutes of play before stuffing four more through the net in the second half. The visitors outshot the Bulldogs (1-6) 23-11 and owned the corner of the field at a 7-4 margin. Hancock only managed to place four attempts on target with Jesus Hinojosa, Sean Soltan, Mark Hutchinson, and Kevin Gutierrez each registering one.

Martin Villagomez earned the start in the box for the Bulldogs. He collected five saves and allowed four goals through 74:02 minutes of work. Alejandro Mendoza finished as the keeper for the home squad and collected one save through the final 15:58 minutes.

The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Friday, September 23rd, with a road trip to Citrus College.
