Eric Diaz Tabbed as Junior College Men’s Soccer Scholar All-America Selection

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After completing his final season with the Allan Hancock College men's soccer program, Eric Diaz has added yet another accolade to his collegiate resume after being named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Team as a Second Team selection. Diaz becomes the second United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American in AHC men's soccer program history and the first to receive the award since 2017. | FULL LIST

The Scholar All-America Team for the Division III level of the junior college section consisted just of 22 student-athletes from around the nation. In order to be eligible for United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region and All-America teams, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.40 cumulative GPA, play in a minimum of 75% of a team's contest, and be an elite player as supported by playing honors (All-America, All-Region, minimum All-Conference). 

The Cabrillo High School alum earned First Team All-Conference honors at the conclusion of his sophomore campaign after starting in all 18 of his appearances and serving as a crucial member of the defensive crew for the Bulldogs. 

Diaz will have the opportunity to join other honorees of the Scholar All-America Teams to be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception in January at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
