Men's Soccer: Bulldogs Drop Home Contest Versus LA Harbor, 2-1

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss at home against LA Harbor College during a non-conference matchup on Tuesday afternoon. | BOX SCORE 

Both teams were scoreless through the opening half of play before Harbor (2-4-0) got on the board in the 49th minute after successfully converting a penalty kick attempt. Braden Johnson used a pass from Landen Smith to even the odds less than a minute later, but the Seahawks managed to net the game-winner in the 80th. 

The Bulldogs (3-3-0) were outshot at a 15-6 margin on the day and only placed two tries on target, but ended with an even advantage on the edge of the field with five corner kick opportunities per team. Mark Hutchinson registered Hancock's second shot on goal while Diego Cardenas finished as the lone AHC member with multiple shot attempts. Luis Garcia was charged with the loss in the box after collecting four saves and surrendering two goals through 90 minutes. 

Up next for Coach Vinnedge's squad is a non-conference road trip to Glendale College for a 7 PM game on Friday, September 15th.
